Screen recorder

Record your whole screen, one window or a browser tab, with the sound of the tab and your microphone. Download the video as MP4 or WebM. No install, no account, no watermark.

Free and private. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Choose the soundTurn on tab or system sound, your microphone, or both.
  2. Pick what to sharePress Start recording and choose the screen, window or tab.
  3. Stop and downloadPress Stop or end sharing, watch the result and download it.

Record without installing anything

Show a colleague how to use a feature, report a bug with a clear video, record a presentation or save a webinar for later. The recorder uses the screen sharing built into Chrome, Edge and Firefox, so there is nothing to install and no browser extension. Your recording is kept in the page memory and goes straight to your downloads folder: no upload, no waiting for processing, no watermark and no time limit.

Tab sound and microphone are mixed into one track, so you can talk over a video or a slide deck. In Chrome and Edge, sharing a tab gives the cleanest sound; on Windows, sharing the whole screen can include system sound too.

Files that just work

Where the browser can, the recording is saved as MP4, which plays everywhere and uploads directly to YouTube, Teams or a support ticket. Otherwise it is WebM; we add the duration to the file so it can be seeked in every player. Keep the tab open while recording, and download before you close it.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a time limit or watermark?

No. You can record as long as your device has memory, and nothing is added to the video.

Is my recording uploaded?

No. It stays in your browser until you download it.

Why is there no sound?

Turn on tab or system sound before starting, and tick Share audio in the browser's sharing window. macOS only allows sound from browser tabs.

Does it work on phones?

Mobile browsers do not allow screen sharing, so screen recording works on computers only. Use the built in recorder of your phone instead.
