See what changed, not just that something changed

Contracts, offers, product descriptions, translations and configuration files go through many versions. Reading two versions side by side to find a changed word is slow and easy to get wrong. This tool marks every difference for you.

In line mode, lines that were edited are paired up and the words that changed inside them are highlighted, so a single changed number in a long paragraph is easy to spot.

Private by design

Contracts and internal documents should not be pasted into a tool that sends them to a server. Here the comparison runs entirely in your browser, and nothing you paste leaves your device.

Are my texts uploaded?

No. The comparison runs in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers.

Which mode should I use?

Lines for documents, lists and code, words for running text, and characters for short values such as codes or numbers.

What does ignore spaces do?

Extra spaces, tabs and spaces at the ends of lines are not counted as changes, which helps with text copied from different programs.

Can I compare Word or PDF files?

Copy the text out of the documents and paste it here. For Word files you can also use the Word to Text converter first.

Is there a size limit?

Texts of several thousand lines work well. Very large texts with many differences may be too much for one comparison; split them into parts.
