How many days until...?

Count down to a holiday, a wedding or an exam, or count how many days have passed since a start date. Set the start to today and the end to the event to get the number of days left; set an earlier end date to count backwards.

The breakdown in years, months and days matches how people talk about time spans, and the business day count helps with delivery estimates, invoice terms of 30 days and legal notice periods. Turn on Include end date when both the first and the last day count, as with leave or rental days.

Leap years

Leap years and the different month lengths are taken into account automatically, since the calculation uses the real calendar.

How many days are there in a year?

365, or 366 in leap years like 2024 and 2028.

Is the end date included?

Not by default. Turn on Include end date to count both the start and the end day.

Are public holidays excluded from business days?

No. Only Saturdays and Sundays are excluded, since holidays differ by country.

What is 31 January plus one month?

The last day of February, 28 or 29 depending on the year.

Can I go back in time?

Yes. Choose Subtract, or enter an end date before the start date.
