Passport photo print sheet

Place one passport or ID photo several times on a single sheet for printing: crop it to the right size, choose 4x6 inch, 10x15 cm, 5x7 inch, 13x18 cm, A4 or Letter, and the tool fits as many copies as possible at 300 DPI with thin cut lines between them. Download the sheet as JPG or PNG for a photo lab, or as PDF for a home printer.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add and crop the photoChoose your photo and the size your form asks for, then move the frame so the face sits as the rules require.
  2. Choose the sheetPick the paper size, how many copies you need, the gap and the margin. The preview shows the sheet.
  3. Download and printSave JPG or PNG for a photo lab or PDF for your printer, print at actual size (100 percent) and cut along the lines.

Several photos for the price of one print

Photo labs and drugstore kiosks print a 4 x 6 inch or 10 x 15 cm photo for very little money. With six or eight passport photos placed on that one print you get all the copies you need for a passport, a visa, a residence card or a job application in one go. Choose the sheet and the tool fits as many copies as possible; type a number under Copies if you need fewer. A4 and Letter are there for home printers and fit up to 32 photos of 35 x 45 mm.

Everything is calculated at 300 DPI, the usual resolution of photo printers: one millimeter is 11.81 pixels, so a 35 x 45 mm photo is 413 x 531 pixels and a 2 x 2 inch photo is 600 x 600 pixels. The sheet is turned to landscape automatically when that fits more photos.

Print at the real size

JPG and PNG sheets carry 300 DPI in the file, so photo labs and most print programs print them at the correct size. The PDF page is exactly the size of the paper. In the print dialog always choose Actual size or 100 percent and switch off Fit to page or borderless enlargement, otherwise the photos grow or shrink a little. Measure one photo with a ruler after printing before you cut the rest.

Thin gray cut lines extend the edges of every photo to the border of the sheet. Cut along them with a paper trimmer or a sharp knife and a ruler. Gap and Margin are automatic: photo paper sizes, which labs print without a border, get no margin, and A4 and Letter get 5 mm for home printers. The gap is 2 mm when that still fits as many photos, otherwise smaller or none. Type your own values to change them, or empty the field to go back to automatic. Some labs trim a millimeter at the edges; if yours does, set a margin of 2 or 3 mm.

Check the rules before you print

Each country and office has its own rules about photo size, head height, background color and expression, and some do not accept home prints at all. This tool gets the size and the layout right, but it does not check the face or the background. Read the official requirements of the office you apply to, crop the photo so the head has the requested height, and use the image cropper's passport pages for a single digital photo.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping and the sheet are made in your browser and saved directly to your device.

How many passport photos fit on a 4x6 inch print?

Six 2 x 2 inch photos placed edge to edge, or eight 35 x 45 mm photos with a 2 mm gap. The preview shows the exact number for your settings.

Why are my printed photos the wrong size?

The printer scaled the page. Print at Actual size or 100 percent and turn off Fit to page and borderless printing.

Which photo size do I need?

It depends on the country and the document. 35 x 45 mm is common in Europe and many other countries, 2 x 2 inches in the United States. Always check the official requirements of the office you apply to.

Does it check if my photo will be accepted?

No. It sizes and arranges the photo; head size, background, lighting and expression are up to you and the official rules.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After the page has loaded once, you can make and save sheets without an internet connection.
