Sort lines alphabetically

Put any list in alphabetical order, from A to Z or Z to A, with natural number sorting and the right alphabet for your language.

Free and private. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Paste your listOne item per line. Paste from Excel, a document or open a text file.
  2. Check the optionsThe action is already selected. Adjust case sensitivity and spaces if needed.
  3. Copy the resultCopy the cleaned list or download it as a text file.

Sorting that gets the details right

Simple sorting puts file10 before file2 and capital letters before small ones. Here natural sorting compares the numbers inside the lines, and case can be ignored so Apple and apple sit next to each other.

Empty lines are left out of the sorted result.

Examples

Sort a keyword list before importing it, put city or customer names in order for a report, or arrange product codes so duplicates sit next to each other and are easy to spot.

About TXT

Plain text with one item per line. A column copied from Excel pastes as one value per line, and Windows and Mac line breaks are handled the same.

With the browser's secure random generator, so every order is equally likely. It is good for draws and random picks.
