Split PDF

Cut a PDF into smaller files: every page on its own or groups of pages you define, such as chapters or individual invoices.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Open your PDFDrop a PDF onto the page or choose it from your device. All pages appear as thumbnails.
  2. Choose the pagesSelect, rotate, delete or reorder pages. The thumbnails show the result right away.
  3. Save the PDFDownload the new file. Your original PDF stays unchanged on your device.

Two ways to split

Every page creates one PDF per page, which is handy for scanned stacks of documents. Ranges lets you type groups like 1-3, 4-6, 7 and get one file for each group.

You can also delete or rotate pages first; the split uses the pages as they appear in the grid. Each part is named after its pages.

About PDF

PDF stores every page as a separate unit, which is why pages can be moved, rotated and removed without touching the rest of the document. The text and images on each page stay exactly as they were.

Frequently asked questions

How do I write the ranges?

Separate groups with commas. For example 1-3, 4-6, 7- creates three files: pages 1 to 3, 4 to 6, and 7 to the end.

Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The PDF is opened and edited in your browser. It is not sent to our servers.

Does the original file change?

No. The tool creates a new file. Your original PDF stays as it was.

Can I undo a deleted page?

Yes. Deleted pages stay greyed out until you save. Click the delete button again or use Restore all.
