Mark documents before you share them

A visible watermark makes it clear that a document is a draft, confidential or a copy for a specific person, and it discourages passing it on. Tiled watermarks cover the whole page and are hard to crop out; a single diagonal line is the classic look for CONFIDENTIAL or DRAFT.

Text watermarks work in every language and alphabet, including accented letters, Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic and Chinese, because the text is drawn with the fonts on your device.

Your logo on every page

Choose Image and select a PNG or JPG of your logo. A PNG with a transparent background looks best. Keep the opacity around 15 to 30 percent so the content stays easy to read. Files are processed in your browser and never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can the watermark be removed?

It is drawn on top of each page. Someone with a PDF editor could remove it, but tiled watermarks are much harder to remove cleanly.

Does it work with non Latin text?

Yes. Any language and alphabet works, because the text is drawn with your system fonts.

Can I watermark only some pages?

Yes. Enter the pages, for example 1-3 or 2, 5.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.
