How it works
Enter your codesOne code per line. Add a tab or semicolon and a product name to print it above the barcode.
Check the previewMistakes such as a wrong check digit are listed with their line number. Valid codes are drawn right away.
DownloadChoose PNG, SVG or a PDF label sheet and download all barcodes at once.
Compact for digits, flexible for text
Code 128 switches automatically between a text mode and a digit mode that stores two digits in one symbol. Long numbers therefore produce noticeably shorter barcodes than in Code 39.
Characters outside basic English, such as ş or ğ, are not part of Code 128. The tool points to the exact character so you can replace it.
Lists work the same way as for other types: one code per line, with an optional name after a tab.
About Code 128
Code 128 can hold letters, digits and symbols, and packs long runs of digits into a compact form. It is the usual choice for SKUs, shipping labels and warehouse locations.
About PNG
PNG files have sharp edges with no blur, which is what scanners need. Each barcode is drawn with whole pixels per bar, so it prints cleanly at its natural size.
Frequently asked questions
Is there a length limit?
The standard has no fixed limit, but codes longer than about 20 characters get wide. Keep internal codes short so they scan easily.
Are my codes uploaded anywhere?
No. Barcodes, ZIP files and PDF sheets are created in your browser. Your product list never leaves your device.
Can I use these barcodes on products I sell?
The barcodes are drawn to the standard and scan correctly. For retail you also need numbers that belong to your company, which you get from GS1 in your country.
Which type should I use?
EAN-13 for retail products in most of the world, UPC-A in the US and Canada, ITF-14 for shipping cartons and Code 128 for internal codes such as SKUs, shelf locations and shipments.
How do I print labels?
Choose PDF labels, pick the sheet layout that matches your label paper and download. Print at 100% scale, not fit to page, so the barcodes keep their size.
Does it work offline?
Yes. After you open the page once, it keeps working without an internet connection.
