Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Choose the languagePick the language of the text.
  2. Add your imagesDrop the files or paste them.
  3. Copy the textCopy it or download a TXT file.

Photos of documents

Phone cameras save JPG files, so most pictures of paperwork end up as JPG. The OCR reads the printed text in the photo and returns it as plain text you can paste into an email, a spreadsheet or a translator.

For the best result, photograph the page straight from above in good light so that the letters are sharp. The image is turned upright automatically when the phone saved it rotated.

Many pages

Drop several photos at once and each page appears as its own result, ready to copy.

About JPG

JPG photos of documents and pages work well when they are sharp and evenly lit.

About TXT

The text is saved as a UTF-8 TXT file that opens in every editor.
