Screenshot beautifier

Put a screenshot on a soft gradient or solid background with padding, rounded corners and a shadow, optionally inside a macOS window or a browser frame. Pick a size for X, LinkedIn or a square post and download a PNG or JPG in normal or double resolution.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add the screenshotTake a screenshot and press Ctrl+V on this page, or drop or choose an image file.
  2. Style itChoose a background, padding, corners, shadow, frame and the size of the post. The preview updates as you go.
  3. Save or shareDownload PNG or JPG in 1x or 2x, or press Copy image and paste it straight into your post.

From raw capture to a clean image in seconds

A plain screenshot on a white timeline looks unfinished: its edges disappear, and dark or light app windows blend into the page. A little space around it, rounded corners and a soft shadow make it look like a deliberate image, the way product teams present new features.

Choose one of the ready backgrounds or set your own two colors and the direction of the gradient. A solid color suits brand posts, and the transparent option gives a PNG you can place on any slide or web page.

Frames and sizes for social posts

The macOS frame adds a title bar with the three window buttons and an optional title. The browser frame adds an address bar where you can type the address you want to show, for example your own domain instead of a local test address. Both come in light and dark.

Size presets keep the screenshot centered on the right canvas: X post (1600 x 900), LinkedIn post (1200 x 627), 16:9, square and 4:5 for Instagram. With Auto the canvas simply wraps the screenshot and its padding. 2x doubles the pixels for sharp results on high resolution screens.

Settings travel with the link

Padding, corners and shadow are measured relative to the size of your screenshot, so the same settings look the same on a small crop and on a full screen capture. Press Share with these settings to copy a link that opens the tool with your style, handy for keeping a team's screenshots consistent. The screenshot itself is never part of the link.

Frequently asked questions

Is my screenshot uploaded?

No. The image is drawn and saved in your browser. Nothing is sent to our servers, which matters for screenshots of private dashboards, chats or code.

Can I paste a screenshot directly?

Yes. Copy a screenshot to the clipboard (Windows + Shift + S on Windows, Command + Control + Shift + 4 on Mac) and press Ctrl+V or Command + V on this page.

Which size should I use for X or LinkedIn?

X post gives 1600 x 900 pixels (16:9), which shows uncropped in the timeline. LinkedIn post gives 1200 x 627. For Instagram use square or 4:5.

PNG or JPG?

PNG keeps text in screenshots perfectly sharp and supports a transparent background. JPG files are smaller and fine for photos; with a gradient background the difference is hard to see.

What does 2x do?

It doubles the width and height of the result. Use it when the image is shown on high resolution screens or will be scaled down later. Very large results are limited to 8000 pixels on the longest side.

Does it work offline?

Yes. After you open the page once, styling and saving work without an internet connection.
