Hide what should stay private
Screenshots and photos often show more than intended: faces of strangers, car plates, addresses on parcels, names in chats, account numbers on documents. Drag a rectangle over each part and it is hidden right away; add as many areas as you need and remove any with its small cross.
Without any area selected the whole image is blurred, handy for backgrounds, wallpapers and placeholder images.
Which effect to choose
Blur looks soft and natural in photos. Pixelate is the familiar mosaic look. For sensitive text such as passwords, card numbers or IDs, use the black box: it removes the information completely, while strong blur on short text can sometimes be guessed.
