Wi-Fi QR code generator

Let guests join your Wi-Fi by scanning a code instead of typing a long password. Great for homes, offices, cafes, hotels and events.

Free and private. Everything runs in your browser, nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Fill in the fieldsThe right content type is already selected. Fill in the fields and the code updates as you type.
  2. Style itChoose colors, size and margin, and add a logo if you like. A readability warning shows if colors are risky.
  3. DownloadDownload the QR code as PNG or SVG, or copy the image and paste it into your design.

Your password stays on your device

The network name and password are turned into a code right in your browser and are never sent anywhere. Print the code, frame it near the entrance or put it on the table.

Choose the same security type as your router, usually WPA. For an open network choose No password, and tick Hidden network if your network name is not broadcast.

About Wi-Fi

A Wi-Fi QR code contains the network name, password and security type. Phones offer to join the network after scanning, so guests do not need to type the password.

About QR

A QR code is a two dimensional barcode that phones read with their camera. It can hold up to about 4,000 characters and has built in error correction, so part of it can be damaged or covered and it still scans.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work on iPhone and Android?

Yes. The camera apps on current iPhones and Android phones recognize Wi-Fi codes and offer to join the network.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. They are static codes with your content inside, not a redirect through our server, so they keep working as long as the content is valid.

Is it really free?

Yes. There is no account, no watermark and no limit on how many codes you create or how you use them, including commercial use.

Can I add my logo?

Yes. Add a logo and it is placed in the middle on a small background. Error correction is set to high automatically so the code still scans.

PNG or SVG?

PNG works everywhere, from documents to social media. SVG is a vector file that stays sharp at any size, which makes it the best choice for print.

Can I change where a QR code points after printing?

Not with a static code. If you may need to change the destination later, point the code to a page on your own site and change that page instead.
