Extract audio from video

Take the sound out of a video and save it as an audio file: a lecture, a podcast recording, a song from your own video or the voice track of an interview.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add your videosDrop one or more video files.
  2. Choose the formatMP3 plays everywhere, M4A keeps the original quality, WAV is best for editing.
  3. DownloadEach audio file is ready in seconds.

Lossless when possible

Most MP4 and MOV videos store their sound as AAC. Choosing M4A copies that track as it is, so the audio file sounds exactly like the video and is ready almost instantly, even for a two hour recording. WAV converts the sound to uncompressed audio, ideal for editing in Audacity, GarageBand or a DAW. OGG with the Opus codec gives the smallest files for speech.

Use it to listen to lectures and webinars on the go, to cut a podcast from a video call recording, or to pass the voice track of an interview to a transcription service.

Your recordings stay private

Videos are processed in your browser and never uploaded, which is important for meetings, interviews and personal videos. Only use content you own or have permission to use.
