Why filler text in your own language helps
Latin lorem ipsum is the classic choice because it does not distract with meaning. But word length and letters differ between languages, so a layout that looks fine with Latin can break with real German text, where words are much longer, or with French and Portuguese, where letters such as é, ç and ã need room above and below the line.
