Convert MKV to MP4

Convert MKV videos to MP4 for phones, TVs and editing apps. When the video is already H.264, it is copied without quality loss.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add your videosDrop the files; the target format is already set.
  2. Wait a momentMost files finish in seconds, the progress bar shows the rest.
  3. DownloadDownload the converted videos one by one or as a ZIP.

MKV that plays anywhere

MKV is a flexible container popular for recordings and archives, but many phones, smart TVs and editors do not open it. Most MKV files contain H.264 video, so the converter only changes the container to MP4, which keeps the quality and finishes in seconds even for long videos.

If the MKV contains other codecs, for example VP9 or HEVC, they are re-encoded to H.264 for maximum compatibility. Subtitle tracks are not carried over to MP4.

Large files are fine

Because nothing is uploaded, there is no size limit apart from your device's memory, and your files stay private.
