Ten focused minutes

Ten minutes is a popular length for guided meditation, a morning stretching routine and short workouts such as a ten minute core session. In the kitchen it covers boiled eggs, pasta and many baking steps. Teachers use it for timed reading, short tests and station rotations.

Choose a gentle sound like the chime for meditation, or the digital alarm when you need to hear it from another room. The volume slider and Test button let you check the sound before you start.

Stays awake with you

While the countdown runs, the timer asks your device to keep the screen on, so a tablet or laptop will not lock in the middle of a session. The tab title shows the remaining time if you switch to another page.

Frequently asked questions

Which alarm sound is best for meditation?

Chime or Bell. Both are soft tones that fade out, and you can lower the volume with the slider.

Does the timer work in a background tab?

Yes. The alarm is scheduled when you press Start, so it rings on time even when you are in another tab or app. Keep the tab open.

Will the timer continue if I reload the page?

Yes. The end time is saved in your browser, so the countdown continues. Click anywhere once after a reload so your browser allows the sound.

Can I use it without sound?

Yes. Choose No sound; the tab title and the screen still show when the time is up.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free, with no sign up and no limit.
