What Amazon expects from the main image
The main image is the one shoppers see in search results, so Amazon is strict about it. The background should be pure white (RGB 255, 255, 255), the product should fill about 85 percent of the frame, and the image should be at least 1000 pixels on its longest side so the zoom works. Text, logos, watermarks and extra props do not belong on the main image.
This page opens with those settings: a 2000 × 2000 square, which gives zoom plenty of room, and an 85 percent fill. Rules can differ by category and change over time, so check the current requirements in Seller Central before a large upload.
From a phone photo to a listing
Put the product on a table near a window, step back a little to avoid distortion and zoom in until the product fills most of the screen. The tool removes the table and the room, trims to the product and centers it, so you do not need a studio or a white backdrop.
If you sell the same product in several colors, run all of them with the same fill. They will line up in search results and on the detail page. Lifestyle shots and infographics belong in the additional images, where backgrounds are allowed.
Frequently asked questions
Why 2000 × 2000 and not 1000 × 1000?
1000 pixels is the minimum for zoom. A larger image shows more detail when shoppers zoom in and still uploads quickly.
Will Amazon accept the image?
The tool takes care of the white background, size and fill. Amazon also checks the content, for example text printed on packaging is fine but added badges are not, so review each image before you upload it.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The AI model and all image work run in your browser, and your photos stay on your device.
Is it free?
Yes. There are no credits, no watermark and no limit on the number of photos.
Does it work offline?
Yes, once the AI model has been downloaded on the first use. Your browser keeps it, and with background removal switched off no model is needed at all.
Which sizes are available?
Amazon 2000 × 2000, Shopify 2048 × 2048, Etsy 2700 × 2025 (4:3), eBay 1600 × 1600 and a general 1200 × 1200 square. You can change how much of the frame the product fills from 50 to 95 percent.
Why does my product look soft?
The photo was smaller than the canvas and had to be enlarged. The row warns you when this happens. Shoot closer or at a higher resolution and try again.
Can I keep a shadow under the product?
No. The tool keeps only the product on a plain white background, which is what most marketplaces ask for on the main image.
