The 4:1 profile background
LinkedIn personal profiles use a background image of 1584 × 396 pixels, a wide 4:1 strip. Company pages use a slightly different cover of 1128 × 191 pixels. Pictures in other shapes are zoomed and cropped automatically.
On phones the left side of the banner is covered by your profile photo, and on computers the photo overlaps the lower left. Put text and logos on the right half.
