Convert FLAC to WAV

Convert FLAC music to WAV for software and devices that do not support FLAC, with identical sound.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add audio filesDrop the files; the format is already set.
  2. Adjust qualityChange the quality or choose mono if you need.
  3. DownloadDownload one by one or as a ZIP.

Lossless to lossless

FLAC and WAV are both lossless: FLAC simply compresses the data like a ZIP file, WAV stores it uncompressed. Converting FLAC to WAV therefore keeps every bit of the sound. Some DJ software, older media players, car systems and editing tools only read WAV, which is where this conversion helps.

The WAV file will be roughly twice the size of the FLAC. Bit depth is written as 16 bit, which matches CD quality.

Whole albums at once

Drop all tracks of an album together and download them as a single ZIP. Nothing is uploaded.

About FLAC

FLAC is lossless compressed audio, popular for music archives. It is about half the size of WAV with identical sound.

About WAV

WAV is uncompressed audio: large files, no further quality loss and opened by every editor.

Frequently asked questions

Yes, both formats are lossless. Only 24 bit sources are reduced to 16 bit, CD quality.

No. Everything happens in your browser.

Which input formats work?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC and WebM audio.
