Convert OGG to MP3

Convert OGG and Opus audio, such as voice notes and game sounds, into MP3 that plays on every phone, computer and car radio.

Your files never leave your device. Everything runs in your browser.

How it works

  1. Add audio filesDrop the files; the format is already set.
  2. Adjust qualityChange the quality or choose mono if you need.
  3. DownloadDownload one by one or as a ZIP.

OGG files that will not open

OGG is common in Android apps, games, voice messages and open source software. Many players handle it, but iPhones, car radios, Windows Media Player and a lot of upload forms do not. MP3 works on all of them.

Both Opus and Vorbis audio in OGG are supported. For voice notes choose Mono and 128 kbit/s; for music 192 kbit/s or higher.

Voice messages

Saved voice messages with the .opus or .ogg extension can be converted here and then played or attached anywhere.

About OGG

OGG usually holds Opus or Vorbis audio. It is common in games, Android and WhatsApp voice notes, but many car radios and older players do not open it.

About MP3

MP3 is the classic compressed audio format, supported by practically every device and app.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work with .opus files?

Yes. Opus audio in .ogg or .opus files is converted to MP3.

Why will my OGG not play on iPhone?

iPhones have limited OGG support. Converting to MP3 makes it play everywhere.

How good is the MP3 quality?

MP3 files are made with the open source LAME encoder (lame.sourceforge.io). At 192 kbit/s most listeners cannot tell them from the original; choose 256 kbit/s for music archives.

Does converting improve quality?

No. Converting a compressed file to WAV keeps its current quality but cannot restore what was lost.

Are my files uploaded?

No. Everything happens in your browser.

Which input formats work?

MP3, WAV, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, FLAC and WebM audio.
